In the midst of having family problems, I dreamt of my family last night.

So I just woke up from a 12 hour sleeping session, and I had all sorts of dreams last night but the only one I can remember now is the most recent one that I had before I finally woke up. I was walking around with my uncle (who isn't really my uncle in real life and I have no idea who he is) in like this foresty area and we were looking for some sort of hidden treasure or something like that. So we go through all these trails in the woods and find nothing, so we go back up to the main open area. Later on we meet up with my family and somehow we all decide to go looking for this thing together, so we hop in the car and drive all the way over to the area where we can park and get out and explore on foot. On the way there, my uncle gives us these weird glowing lollipop looking things that he says will change color from green to pink when we're close to the treasure. I immediately start eating it on the way over there. After some driving, we come across traffic, and we later find out that it is caused by a checkpoint. So we get all nervous for some reason that we might get stopped, but we end up being able to drive throughout he checkpoint with no problems. We continue driving for a while after that, and I am keeping my eyes on the road to let them know when we're close to the parking area (somehow I remember where it is, perhaps from a previous dream?). We keep driving, and eventually we pass by the parking area and I tell them that if we don't see a parking area real soon then we just passed the place we were supposed to park at. So we keep driving but never see a parking area, but we keep driving anyway and eventually find one and park there. I tell them that it's going to be so much longer of a walk to find the hiking area now that we're so far away, but they all seem to be ok with that. So we start the long trek over to the hidden trails where we need to go to find the treasure, and after a while we get to the right place and set off on the trails. I wake up before we're able to find anything.

Another prison-related dream? Wtf?

So last night I dreamt about something that was loosely related to prison. I was with this group of people planning out a resistance movement and it was in the same general area of the prison that was in my previous two dreams. So anyway, the group goes ahead to organize something while I stand guard outside our vehicle, and then all of a sudden, this guard spots me and tries to chase me down, so I start running away from him, but then in my attempts to run away, I end up running straight into this building where a lot more guards are. They all surround me and try to capture me, but I pull out all the stops and use all my might to break free of their grasp. I break free once, but after a few second they grab hold of me again and I am too tired to fight any longer, so they end up capturing me. They take me to the edge of the building before the steps going down and just hold me there for a while. After a few moments, they just let me go and tell me nothing. So I am thinking that I'm a free man already and that I got off scott free, but as I re-enter the building, I'm walking around and I see this girl that I know in the dream. She's wearing navy dress whites and I approach her to try and talk to her, but she just looks the other way, kinda trying to say something like "don't talk to me, I don't ever want to see you again" or something like that. So I just go up to her and say something like "I just wanted to apologize, ok?" So then she looks in my direction and says "ok go." And then I proceed to apologize for the way I've been acting, how I've been resisting authority and embarrassing her basically…and some guy comes up in the open stage-like area next to us, and starts talking and singing or something, and she looks over and says "oh my god is that the Navigators?!?" And I look over and say "the Wayseers you mean?" And she says "Oh yeah, that." So after this distraction I then I tell her how happy I am that nothing bad is gonna happen to me and how they just let me go. That's when she looks at her friend and they whisper something to each other and then she looks at me and tells me that she thinks they're still going to come get me and put me in restraints to take me away somewhere. I ask what's next after that but she doesn't answer and instead changes the subject with her friend and starts talking about navy sweats (the PT gear). I start walking away, and before I can get to the front door to leave the building, I wake up.

Dreaming of going to prison...

So last night I dreamt that I had to go away to prison….odd. I was in a van with my dad and some other dudes, two others were going to prison as well and another dude was an escort…and inside the van there were a lot of food from Saipan that I had to try to finish before we got to prison, so I was trying to do just that as soon as possible. Apparently someone was filming the whole thing, but the dude sitting in the row behind me didn't want to be seen on camera so he got upset and said in a rude way not to film him. Anyway, we got to the prison complex, but my dad didn't want to part with me quite yet so we took a detour and went to the beach instead after they dropped off the other guys. So he let me down at the beach and told me to walk around for a while. As I walked around on the beach I was trying to open this piece of paper that supposedly had this message for me which was written by someone 10,000 years ago but it was written specifically for me. It was taking me forever, so my admission into the prison was delayed for a while. Finally I got to my dad again and as he was trying to arrange my entry I was on my iPhone trying to get a hold of someone on Facebook to get them to announce on my page that I would be going on a year-long break from Facebook in order to focus on school and political activism for a while. The attendant at the window was saying that because I got there so late they had nowhere I could stay the night, so I would probably have to go back home for the night and then just come back tomorrow. She was just waiting on word from her boss if she could let us do that. I woke up before we got the final word that I could go home for the night.

Prison Break.

So last night my dream was all over the place and only one person I know personally was in it, and two famous people were in it. Anyway, the dream starts out with me in prison with my friend Ivy, and I promise her that I'm going to get us out of there…she's hesitant at first, but I convince her that we have to get out or we'll get killed because they're slowly killing us off in there. So anyway, the big day comes and we break out of prison, and we're running far, far away, but then somehow I look around and realize that we're suddenly running around on my home island of Saipan….(of course this doesn't strike me as weird enough in my dream for me to partially wake up into a lucid dream, unfortunately) so she points at this building in the distance which I recognize to be Aquarius Beach Tower, and she tells me that her boyfriend knows about our prison break and that he's waiting for her in there. So we go ahead and head on toward the hotel, and along the way we pass by this touristy area and there's a stage of sorts in it, and a decent crowd is gathered and out of the crowd I spot who I think is Stefan from Dada Life. I pass it off at first and think to myself that there's no way it could be him because he would never be on Saipan…. but then as we keep on walking, I keep looking at the area and suddenly realize that it really IS him, and Olle is there too so the whole Dada Life is there, and I start to get real excited and I tell Ivy that we need to stop for a while because my favorite DJs are right there and I need to stop and talk to them. Ivy says she's in a hurry to get to her boyfriend because he'll start to worry if she takes too long to get to him, so she goes on ahead without me. I go down into the stage area where everyone is gathered and stumble upon a bunch of people wearing Digi10ve shirts and holding Digi10ve stickers and they're all shooting the shit with Stefan. I say what's up to Stefan and start talking to him and the other people who are wearing Digi10ve shirts. A few minutes into my conversation, I wake up.

I dream of old-school war…and I mean REAL old.

I had a dream yesterday that I was fighting in the war, and one of the battles was in an airport…. but we were fighting with old school weapons, like swords and shields and bows and arrows… and in one scene we had to go up a ramp but there were enemy archers firing at us, so we had to use our shields in a phalanx formation to fend off the arrows…. and after the barrage of arrows was done, we moved forward in full force and attacked the enemy with no mercy. When I got to my last kill, the last enemy soldier on the battlefield, he was a young black man and seemed very scared, so instead of killing him I put him in a choke hold and explained to him that I wasn't gonna kill him but he would pass out and he could go home to his family after this was all over. So after that we won the war and it was declared over and we could all go home. Everyone was celebrating, and we all went down the ramp to the exit of the airport. I went through the doors but my family wasn't there, so I kept on walking…after a while I realized that I had left my stuff inside the airport near the battlefield, so I ran back inside and went all the way up to the TSA terminal and explained to them my situation. They said I could go look for it but when I came back I had to leave it with them to examine it thoroughly before they could release it to me. So I said ok, but then I woke up.

Gotta get at least one more entry in before the year ends...

WOW it's been a while since I last wrote anything in here. Sorry bout that, got caught up in the problems of this physical plane… and I also slipped into this deep depression that I am still fighting off to this day (it comes on and off every now and then). Anyway, I've been in a total disconnect with my spiritual side, and it's kinda bugging me as of late, so I picked up a copy of

Mastering Astral Projection last week and I'm going to use that as my platform to get back into the spiritual side of things…. I figure once I perfect astral projection and am able to go anywhere and learn anything, I will be much more connected to the spiritual side of life and I'll be more equipped to deal with the problems of this physical existence. I am still aiming to create a political ideology of some sort that successfully combines spirituality with concepts from this physical plane in order to form a more perfect world…it's a long shot, I know, but I figure it's still worth a try, eh? I'm also going to be trying out the Ganzfeld Experiment at some point, so I'll let you all know how that goes as well. Anyway, with this year coming to a close, it's important for me to note that a lot has happened and many things have changed in my life this year, some for the worse and some for the better… but as they say, everything happens for a reason, and there are a lot of awesome people I am good friends with today whom I probably never would have crossed paths with had some of the darker times in my life never happened this year. It's a little cliché of me to say, but I wouldn't change any of it for the world. So here's to a roller coaster year of growth and development…. and here's looking to a new year, the year that will change EVERYTHING. 2012, here I come…..

It's been quite a while...but I am back from my hermitage.

That's right, I've been away on a little hermitage the past year, but now I am back. I have spent all this time taking a step back and looking at the world through a different point of view. I have grown exponentially in terms of spirituality over the past year, and I am ever smarter in terms of my occult knowledge. I continue to grow on my path in life and every day I learn something new or am made aware of another aspect of spirituality. Recently, I have been reading up on voodoo and hoodoo, and casting my own little spells. I also finally have a nice little herb cabinet sort of thing with some common herbs and some not so common herbs (like rose hips, dittany of crete, dogbane, and a few others). I've also begun planting, and a couple of my plants have died, but it was to be expected. So far, though, I have a gorwing DIttany of Crete plant, a growing White Sage plant, a growing Belladonna plant, a growing Creeping Rosemary plant, and two growing Salvia Divinorum plants. I recently planted a LOT of Lavender plants, and I guess we'll see where that goes. The ones that I am the most excited about, though, are obviously my two Salvia Divinorum plants. I cannot wait till they are fully grown and ready to be harvested..... oh man, I am going to have soooo much fun. Thank you for reading, this is all for now.

My very first Pagan House Social.... sort of.

So tomorrow, Pagan House, with the exception of myself, will be traveling up to Keeler for the weekend to pick a shitload of sage for Heartland... and they have entrusted me with facilitating the Pagan House Social, so that is just what I will be doing tomorrow night. It's quite exciting for me, because they even gave me the green Pagan House shirt to wear! Yeah it's pretty geeky of me to get excited over that but what can I say, it truly is quite an honor. :) I'm not quite sure about how the attendance is going to look tomorrow, but I am hoping for the best. So far no one has really RSVP'd yes for the event on the meetup groups, but I guess we'll see how it all turns out tomorrow...

Yet another long overdue update...

So I'm having a real problem with updating regularly.... I suppose that's why I don't have too many visitors to the blog these days.... but oh well, it'll happen.... in time. So a lot has definitely happened since my last post; I'll try to sum it all up here in as short a post as possible.

So I suppose the first thing to talk about is my initiation into the first degree of the Pagan House way. It was very empowering; I felt amazing all throughout the ritual, and I found a very peaceful feeling during the call of the ancestors part. It was even cooler because they had us, the students, build the altar and cast the circle. Everything about it was just great, and I loved the rush that I got from it all. The whole thing ended with some devastating news, however, which I am not at liberty to discuss on here.... but it truly broke my heart while at the same time making me proud that such a great opportunity presented itself. So anyway, Morgan said that during the call of the ancestors, she saw that my ancestors were big islander looking folk, wearing long tan-brown papery looking skirts with black designs on them, and holding sticks that looked like they were used for paddling... The men were all tall and strong, while the women kind of kept quiet. Interesting, noh? Ever since then I've been trying to find a little bit of time every day to kind of do some research to see if I can find what kind of tribal people had that kind of outfit.... no luck yet though.

Secondly, I was supposed to lead a New Moon ritual a few weeks ago, but that ended up not happening because my schedule had been changed and I had to be at work at the time the ritual would have been going on. Everyone was really excited for me to be doing the ritual, and I was excited myself, however I did not feel that I was truly ready for such a daunting task just yet. So I suppose that worked out for me, even if everyone (including myself) was kinda bummed out about the sudden turn of events. My new schedule also prevented me from going to my year and a day classes, so that was a HUGE disappointment for me. However, My beloved High Priest and High Priestess at Pagan House did all that they could to see if they could work something out for me with my command or with the chaplain... And while they were not so successful on that front, my schedule suddenly changed, outta the blue, back to my normal day check hours... so it's interesting how things just work out for me lately...

I think the best part of this update is right here, however. Over the last couple of days, I have done three Full Moon Rituals; the first one being a skyclad one up in Carlsbad, the second one being a regular one in Mission Bay, and the third one being a smaller one at Balboa park. The reason this is important for me to mention is that in all three rituals, I played an integral part in the ritual. For the first two, I casted the circle. The first one was actually a surprise to me; I was told that I would be doing it at the second one, so that was the one I had prepared for. But my lovely teacher Morgan had the surprise planned out for me, I suppose. According to the people's feedback from that first night, I did great, so I'll take it as it is. The second one went much better; I received a lot more feedback, so I'm feeling a lot more confident about this. In the third one, I was asked to be the God for the night, so I accepted because at the time they had asked I was the only guy there. After that ritual, they had told me that I did wonderful for a first timer. lol. So anyway, I guess the point of this all is that I am growing more and more into my personal power and it excites me! Looking back on the past six months that I have been here in San Diego, it's just amazing to see how far I've come and how much I've grown on this path... Back then I definitely never would have thought that I would be casting circles at this point! And I have my wonderful teachers of my two classes: Aaron and Morgan Taggert of Pagan House and Carrie Hammond of Indigo Paths, to thank for that. I can't wait to see just what the rest of the year brings to me and how much more I grow!

Announcing a new Meetup Group: The San Diego County Warrior Circle!

So I posted the following message to a few of my Meetup groups announcing a new group that I have created for the military pagans in San DIego County. If this thing is successful and grows big enough, I might even have the Warrior Circle thing expand to other bases... it's part of the dream but a much later part, if you know what I mean. First I have to get this thing going.

"In light of the recent events that took place earlier this month at the US Air Force Academy, I have decided that now was the proper time for me to set my plans in motion and I created a new meetup group called San Diego County Warrior Circle. This is a pagan group for military servicemembers. Our goals are many, but the main one is to provide a stable community for pagan servicemembers. We are here to educate those new to the faith or those who are just curious about the things that we do. We are here to make sure that people know their rights when it comes to the military and religious practice and worship. If you are in the military, please join, and tell your other pagan or pagan-curious friends who are also serving. If you aren't in the military, but know someone who is, please invite them to check out this group. This is my dream and I would like to see it grow into something big, but I need your help to do it."

So there you have it, my latest update... Things are really starting to look up for me again, and I am so happy about that. I have Owls class tonight up at the Pagan House in Carlsbad, and every second spent up there is just an amazing time. I love being up there and basking in the energy of the place.

My Vision for the Military Pagans, and some exciting updates!

So, I have my own little Pagan House vision, but then I also have my own personal vision..... and it is all about the military, since I am serving on active duty in the military and all that. So anyway, in my last journal entry over on The Pagan House blog I had answered a question about what I planned to do with the knowledge that I gain from taking the Owls class. In my response, I mentioned something about sharing my knowledge with other military servicemembers I said, "One of my dreams is to be able to teach other military service members who are new to the path or who are just curious about it. I want to be their walking, talking Pagan encyclopedia and aid in their spiritual growth and development."

This is me expanding on that sentence and going into my actual vision for pagans in the military. Someday soon, I'd like to organize a group on base (I'll start out with just people on base, and if things go well I will expand to all servicemembers in the area [San Diego County]...) that would come together at an agreed frequency to perform rituals with a military tone to them; kinda like a military coven, I suppose. However, the group would be so much more than just that. The main purpose of the group will be to provide military servicemembers with a community in which to exchange knowledge, ideas, information, and resources. Whether it be teaching curious servicemembers about the pagan spiritual path, or even teaching established pagans about certain things that they do not know yet or have not heard of, one of the main goals of the group will be to exchange information within the community. One of our goals within this would be to set up classes every now and then covering a vast array of topics, such as circle casting, calling the corners, making smudge bundles, how to build and use an altar that complies with barracks regulations, etc. I am currently reading a book called "Faith and Magick in the Armed Forces: A Handbook for Pagans in the Military" by Stefani E. Barner, and one of the things that I want to do with the knowledge that I get from the Owls class and the information that I will gain from reading this book and doing other personal research is to kind of act as an unofficial pagan chaplain for the group. By that point, I should be able to answer most questions involving pagan life in the military (like rights to worship, getting time off to be able to go to rituals, etc.). My services should suffice until the day that an official pagan chaplain comes into the armed forces.

So there you have it, my grand vision for the military pagans out there... On to the exciting updates lol.

So last post that I made, I completely forgot to mention that I CAN FINALLY SEE AURAS. It's still in its infancy stages right now, so I don't see any color yet... But I can definitely see an energy field around a person's physical body. I think it might have been awakened that time that I saw Maureen's shield (in fact, maybe it wasn't her shield that I was seeing, but her aura!)...So anyway, that's big update #1... Big update #2 is that I performed my first act of Reiki healing last night! It felt amazing while I was doing it, and Jennifer said that my hands and her foot were really hot (so yay, I did it right [or just for the Pagan House, "I wasn't doing it wrong!!] lol). I ended up being REALLY hungry after that, and it got real bad on the drive home... which stuck me as funny since I had already eaten like 4 times at The Pagan House that night!

BIG update

So I haven't posted anything on here in a while, sorry but the mundane life took hold of me for a while.... There are a lot of things to talk about but I will try to keep it as brief as possible. First of all, I am now taking two year-and-a-day classes. The first one with Carrie Hammond of Indigo Paths up in Oceanside, and the second one with Aaron and Morgan Taggert of The Pagan House up in Carlsbad. I don't have a car, though, so transportation to and from classes is my biggest problem. Or so I thought. At first I thought that maybe I was overloading myself or that I should ease up on it a little bit, but then I looked at the situation and I realized that there was a HUGE sign that I was right were I was supposed to be, and that I really am on the right track with taking both of these classes right now. Somehow transportation isn't really as big of a problem as I thought it would be, because I always manage to find a ride to classes and then back to where ever it is that I need to be. If that ain't a sign, I don't know what is, lol. I also finally answered the call of Reiki. It's something that has been calling out to me for the past couple of years, but I have never really had any resources or teachers around to teach me. Now I'm down in San Diego county where there pagan community is just overflowing with Reiki practitioners and Reiki masters who are excellent teachers. I am learning Blue Fire Reiki with Carrie Hammond, again of Indigo Paths. These are all great people and I am just really excited about everything that I am learning about in all these classes. I'll be part of the priesthood in no time, lol.

Which brings me to my next topic of discussion, the pagan priesthood/pagan clergy life. That is definitely a goal of mine, not just so I cam walk around saying that I am a 21 year old high priest or whatever, but so that I can use my knowledge and title to help others in the military. I want to study anything written about rules and regulations for worship and religious activities, etc and be able to answer any questions about it when other military servicemembers come up to me with questions or complaints that they were not let off of work to go to rituals or whatever. Kind of like a Chaplain, I suppose. I want to unite the military pagan community, first here on base at MCAS Miramar, and then in the entire San Diego county. Because I know there are others out there who have questions and concerns related to issues at work that deal with their pagan path. There are chaplains available for these generally, however I'm sure there are many people out there who just aren't comfortable talking to chaplains because of the religious differences. The only reason I feel comfortable talking to chaplains when I need to is because I was raised in a Catholic environment, and I was once Catholic myself. So there you have it, my vision for the future of military paganism.

Another big deal that recently happened is that I recently finally built my altar in my barracks room. Shocker, ain't it. Who would've thought that it would ever be possible to set up a functional altar inside a military barracks room, where generally you cannot have anything burning in there? I had been holding back on building my altar for the longest time because of that reason in particular, however my teachers at The Pagan House made me realize that using the flameless electric powered candles isn't so bad. Basically, it's all about the intent and purpose so if you use those things intending for them to be representative of the actual flame and wax candles, then they will be as such. So I took all the extra effort to even wrap each candle in tissue paper to match the color correspondences of the elements. I was really excited to see the final results. In addition to the intent, though, my teachers also pointed out that technically speaking, electricity represents fire anyway so it would be alright.

So there you have it, my big update. I was going to write a lot more, but it's 0343 and I'm really sleepy so I will have to continue some other time.

The most intense meditation session I have ever had!

So I completely forgot to blog about this, but it's been on my mind since it happened so now that I finally have the time to do it, I am blogging it.

The morning after the NMR and my shamanic journey, I woke up and after eating breakfast I went into the temple to meditate. Almost immediately after closing my eyes, I was transported to my sacred space, the place I go to every time I meditate. It's a grassy knoll type of area, but this time I saw it eventually connecting to a beach and the ocean. When I got there, I was immediately greeted by my wolf totem/guide and without even saying a word I transformed into a wolf and let out a loud howl. Before I knew it, many other howls were going off in the distance, and eventually I was surrounded by a pack of wolves, including my totem wolf. We then immediately proceeded to running. We ran and ran, over the grassy knoll and through the open fields of grass, running and running until we got to the border of the forest entrance. We proceeded to enter the forest, running through it just like we were running through the open fields. After running for a while, we came upon a circular clearing, and in the clearing was a deer with the most majestic antlers I had ever seen. After observing it for a while, I decided to move in on it and attack. I initiated the attack, and after I got the first few bites and rips in, I called the rest of the pack in to feast upon this glorious meal. they proceeded to rip and tear at the deer's flesh and meat with their mouths, and we were all getting saturated with deer blood, and I let out a loud howl, which was soon followed by everyone else. After the feast, we went back to the grassy knoll area and then it was time for me to go home.

Very interesting, indeed. So intense, too. I could feel the wind rushing against my fur, the ground hitting my paws with each stride, and the feeling of the deer's flesh in my mouth as my teeth dug into it. It all felt very real and exciting; I almost didn't want to leave!

New Moon Ritual

Falling into a hole as the drumming starts, then I end up in a cave with a river flowing upward. A man with a crocodile head is there with his mouth open and water gushing out of his mouth into the river. He points out in the distance and I see a Viking like ship coming up the river. I try to follow it up the river but they tell me that I can't follow them. So I start to go back down and I step into the river but as soon as I step into the river I get caught in a downward current (even though the river flows upward). My whole body gets submerged underwater as I travel downwards on the river, and I feel as if I'm trying to fight the current. Eventually I go over a waterfall and plunge another good distance downward into a larger body of water. As I plunge into the water, I try to swim up but I feel hundreds of hands pushing me down even further, so I plunge further down into the depths of the water. Then I see a city inside a bubble on the ocean floor below me. The hands push me through the bubble and I am suddenly dry inside the city. I see people wearing long silver robes walking around and machines that are flying through the air like hovercrafts. In the distance I see a grand pyramid that seemed like it was at the heart of the city. A man approaches me and has a conversation with me. He welcomes me back and starts telling me things about the place. I then point to the pyramid and ask what it was for. He told me that was where the focused their energy and concentration so that they could call the gods. We had more conversation, and then he told me it was time to go further down. He then pushed me lightly into the ground and I felt myself get sucked up by the ground and then I plummeted further down through the earth. I eventually hit land again and everything is pitch black. Then a blue flame goes on in the distance and I san faintly see another crocodile man. I walk closer to it and he points to somewhere in the distance, so I assumed that's where I was supposed to go. As I walked over there, I fell int a hole and I plummeted further down into the earth. I hit ground again and once again it's pitch black. In the distance an orange flame comes on and I walk closer expecting to see another crocodile man but instead I am greeted by a being who was similar to the crocodile men but instead had the head of a deer. He pointed to an opening in the distance where a light was resonating. So i walk over there and my totem wolf was there ad he told me it was time to return to my body. He said to hold on to him and I could ride him all the way up. So I grabbed hold of him and we begin going back up, back up through the tunnels, up through the caves, and then we hig water again and we travel upwards through the water. We keep going up, we go up the waterfall and then back up the river. We go back to the initial cave and then back up the hole i descended from and then we were back in the temple. I thanked my wolf and he left after that. I was in my body again and the drumming started up again and I fell back into trance and I felt myself going down through the hole again. This time though, instead of hitting the ground I was launched through the hole and I was back in the temple for a second but my body kept shooting up past the temple and I looked down as I rose upwards and into space. I see the earth beneath my feet and I look around into the vast nothingness of space. Then I see the Viking-like ship again and it is being driven by bird-like men. They had bodies of man but on their arms they also had wings, and they all had the head of a bird. I tried to follow them again but they said no to me again because they were going to the valley of the gods and I could not go there yet. Then the callback drumming starts and I feel myself descending back onto the earth, going down, down, down until I am back at the temple and inside my body. Then the journey ended.

So I have made a lot of progress in the past couple of months.... I've attended a bunch of rituals, raised a bunch of energy, and am now able to focus inward a lot better during meditation..... lately though, like in the past week or so, I've been kinda getting a calling to do some kind of magickal work.... I don't really know what it is just yet, all I know is that it's calling out to me and I'm supposed to do something about it. I'm really excited about the direction that my life is going in now, and it can really only get better from here. I am opening myself up to the mysteries and wonders of the Universe and Life. I recently registered for classes under a formal teacher, Carrie of Indigo Paths. and I am really excited to get the ball rolling on this part of my life. Valera recommended her to me so I sought her out, and now I am a student in her Basic Witchcraft class which starts on the 17th and lasts for 14 weeks! I can't wait to learn everything that she has to teach.... I am REALLY, REALLY excited for this!!

Animal speak?!?

So I was over at my buddy AJ's house on Sunday partying it up and stuff, and at one point that night their dog was making a lot of noise in its kennel so I went up and let it go outside for a while.... after a few minutes it started scratching at the door so I went over and let it back in... it proceeded to running around the house, and I tried multiple times to get it to go back into its kennel but it would always just run right back around me... so finally I waited for it to come back near me, and I closed my eyes and found my quiet space and reached out to it and asked it to just make things easier for me and get into its kennel.... and when I opened my eyes, he walked right into his kennel without me even signaling for him to do so.

....so I guess my question is.... weird coincidence, or an actual account of psychic communication with animals?? Thoughts/opinions on this little episode?

Full Moon Ritual. Again! =)

So tonight I went to another Full Moon Ritual, but it was with a different group of people. It was awesome! I had lots of fun; maybe even more fun than I had yesterday... but let's not go there, lol I'll just say that I had a great time at both rituals. This kind of stuff is really what I need, you know? This entire time I've been doing stuff on my own and experiencing this path without anyone to talk to about it and teach me anything... and now I have a whole San Diego full of pagans to talk to for experience and advice! This is awesome! During the grounding part of tonight's ritual, somehow I was able to always be a step ahead of the narration, even though I had never done a grounding before that.... kinda weird, huh?

So i just got back home from a Full Moon Ritual with a bunch of pagans in San Diego County... it was awesome. I loved it. It was my first ritual and I didn't quite know what to expect, but it was so much fun! The people were great and everyone was so friendly and I just loved it all. It was a wonderful experience. I can't wait for more meetups with the pagans in the area. I had a wonderful conversation with the high priestess of the ceremony afterwards and she shared many enlightening things about life and stuff and she said that she had sensed that there was an archangel working with me.... I figure that it's Metatron, because of that one period of time when I would always see his name all over the place. But anyway....this is exactly what I have been looking for to help complete my pagan experience... this is just the bit of motivation that I need to keep on going with my pagan studies and spiritual growth... so I plan on doing more of these and learning a lot more.

on another note, in dealing with synchronicity, for some odd reason that I do not quite know yet, lately gay stuff has been popping up around me.... i mean just very recently. like in the past two days it seems like the whole world is screaming gay at me lol. i don't quite understand why but it seems like no matter where I go, there always seems to be something gay that shows up or happens...hmmm. i wonder what it all means. any thoughts, folks?

The Fourth Kind.

So I just watched The Fourth Kind with my buddy Mike last night, and I don't know if all this was brought on by watching that movie and it's just all paranoia induced by the movie or if there was a real reason behind my uneasiness late last night.... but Mike was saying how he wasn't gonna be able to sleep after watching the movie, so I jokingly said "Awww.... does Mikey need someone to sleep over tonight?" And he was like "Yeah will you?" So I figured I'd do it, since I didn't wanna go back to my barracks room anyway.... so we went back to his place and chilled for a while, and watched The Covenant... then it was time to go to bed.... it was around 2 in the morning when I fell asleep, and then the weird stuff happened. I don't know if I was just dreaming and it was some kind of nightmare situation that was just inspired by the movie, but all I know is that it was all very, very weird.

In my supposed dream, I was awake the entire time and in the bed hearing all kinds of noises around me, doors opening and closing and random tapping noises...and then I felt someone bump into the foot of the bed, and all this time I wanted to open my eyes but I couldn't.... i was really scared in the supposed dream I was having.... and at one point I swear I heard a male voice saying something.... I couldn't make out what it was saying though. And then later I felt like someone was just looming over me watching me try to go to sleep..... And then I felt its presence on the right side of the bed, just sitting there laughing in amusement at my suffering.... It was starting to get difficult for me to breathe, so I finally opened my eyes and turned my head towards it to see what it was, but I couldn't see it because I couldn't turn my head far enough.... something was holding me back. I kept pushing and pushing trying to see what it was but I couldn't, and so I started shouting out at the top of my lungs, "Why can't I see you?!? Why can't I see you?!? What are you? Why can't I see you, dammit why!?!?!?" After a while I eventually gave up and just laid in bed waiting for the morning to come. And then something happened, I don't remember what exactly, but it woke me up for real....and as all of this was happening, it felt like hours had gone by... so I was expecting to wake up to sunlight and be alright.... but no. I woke up, and it was still dark. And something inside me told me that if I checked my cell phone, it would show that it was only 3:33.... and well I checked, and it WAS 3:33..... So all that time that I thought hours had gone by and it was the morning already, it had really only been about an hour and a half...

So I sat up in the bed, thought about things for a minute, and got up out of bed and walked over to Mike's room and woke him up.... and then I asked if I could sleep in his room for the rest of the night and I proceeded to explain to him what had happened and we were both pretty spooked. THe weird thing was, when we got back to his place earlier, I had a little flash vision that we would end up sleeping in the same bed.... and all that time I thought that he would end up asking me to sleep with him because he was too scared, but I guess it ended up being me. Idk, I just really did not feel right at all being out in the other room.... something just wasn't right about it all. So I felt a lot more secure in Mike's room. I woke up this morning with a swollen eye... And that's all for my little experience.

Something I noticed lately....

Ever since I moved down here to San Diego, I have noticed a sudden dramatic increase in my intuitive abilities..... in the past week that I've been here, I have been able to always identify which elevator is going to open up when I am waiting for one of the four elevators to get to my floor, when I'm watching tv shows I somehow know exactly almost to the T what will happen next, and then the other day my friend was tossing a coin and asking me and his other friend if it was heads or tails and I got it right every single time.... he did it like over 10 times and I got every single one right. Hmmmmm..... idk, just something that I noticed. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Self reading using the Moving Spread

So I found this awesome spread on Aeclectic Tarot for insight into making big moves, and I thought that it was a perfect chance for me to get some insight into this big move of mine from Bremerton, WA to San Diego, CA. Page of Coins - This describes exactly how I feel about the whole situation; I have been wanting to cross rate into something else (take on a new job in the Navy) because my job is just too dull and unenjoyable for me.... and I have also been wanting to take on more responsibility by getting promoted (which will hopefully happen this month).

7. 12 The Hanging Dragon - This tells me that I worry that I will spend too much time here doing nothing; that there will be a lot of idle time and it will be a while before I get new orders to a new command (which is, in fact, something that I worry about often since I moved down here)

8. Six of Cups - The meaning behind this card showing up in this position is far too personal for me to fully explain on this blog.... However I will say this; I do indeed have many lessons about sharing, giving, and receiving to learn so that this situation doesn't end up happening to someone else.

9. Ace of Coins - This card tells me that this move does not come without its benefits. A new doorway is opening up in my work life, and this to me means that I will get to start anew at a new command and hopefully do a lot better than I did at my last command.

It's been a while...

I've been busy with work so I haven't really had the time to update you guys, sorry for that. Just for the sake of letting you all know that I'm still here and I still intend on keeping this blog updates, I will post a dream that I had this morning.... Please share your thoughts and interpretations. I've never dreamt about anything involving aliens before, so I thought this was interesting.

I dreamt I was sitting outside at the smoke pit smoking, and there were a couple of people around me, and suddenly I saw a huge alien spaceship flying over us... I started freaking out but at first no one else could see it, then I started to see more of them and after a few minutes everyone else could see them. then they started shooting these beams out and whoever they hit would instantly become their drone slaves. I left the smoke pit and headed up to my room as soon as I saw the first bunch of people get turned into slaves, and I escaped just in time because a few minutes after I left the smoke pit, a huge beam hit it and everyone that was still there became drone slaves. I called my best friend bobby and I was freaking out over the phone telling him to hurry up and get indoors to his room as soon as possible because he would get turned into a mindless alien slave if he got hit by the beams. I was doing some stuff in my room for a while and then I heard loud knocking at my door. I asked who it was and I peeked through the peephole and saw Bobby standing outside so I opened the door immediately, and I tried to close it as soon as I opened it, because when I opened it there were three alien drones standing next to him. I tried my best to close the door, I was pushing on it with all my might and even using the wall behind me for extra force but they were starting to overpower me... so I reached out and grabbed Bobby and pulled him in and I somehow managed to shut the door after that. Then I grabbed hold of Bobby and held him in my arms and told him that I was very sorry for what had happened and that I would find a way, I would do whatever it takes to get him back to normal... but because he was already a drone slave he had no response... and that's when I woke up.

Understanding...

So this was my birthday weekend, and it was full of partying and getting drunk and the like, but I'd have to say that something very significant did come out of it all. Friday night was the first party; my best friend Bobby took me to one of his friends' places and we had a little party.... it was all fun and games until the drama unfolded and hurtful things were said between Bobby and his girlfriend... So anyway the point I'm trying to get at here is that after that night I finally understand what Bobby's role in my life is, and why he's here as my best friend now. That night he was in tears as he spilled out his whole life story; and most parts of it eerily mirrored parts of my own life and my troubled childhood and adolescence. After talking to him and listening to his story, it finally dawned on me (I had always believed in it before, but this just confirmed it without a doubt) that everything in life really does happen for a reason. I had lived a very emotionally troubled childhood and adolescence and I had weathered the great storm that was that part of my life so that on that day, when Bobby spilt his life out to me, I would be able to immediately make a connection on an emotional and spiritual level.... It all came together, like the pieces of a puzzle had suddenly just been put together to form the big picture right in front of my eyes. I finally understand now. And I know what I must do.

So I finally mustered up the courage to go over the rest of the audio from our second Ouija session... or rather, I finally got off my lazy ass and made the time to do so... I could have just as easily done it in the past couple of days, but I have been too lazy to. I have an hour of footage to review in the second session, and about 50 minutes on the first session so it'll take a while.... a very long while. So far I'm about 15 minutes into the second session and I have already caught 7 more EVPs, in addition to that very first one that I found. The first one that I found today caught me by surprise more than the original one that I found; it said "It's too fuckin' hot!" Or at least that's what me and Dylan think it's saying. Ouija Board experiences...

So Den, Dylan, and I took our group occult experiences even further tonight by using a Ouija board. I did the protection ritual first (the one that I had posted in the previous blog entry), and then we proceeded to using the board. The first time, it didn't take long for us to get a response, and the first name that we got was Yezai... at first he said that he was there to talk to me, but then he started saying something about Yakima and a lake, so Dylan and I looked over at Den and she shrugged cuz she said he was supposed to be talking to me... so anyway, we eventually found out that there were 5 spirits around initially, and then later on when the answers were getting garbled up again we asked how many there were and there were only 4 left. Eventually we ended up getting word from Dylan's spirit guide, Kim, and she got some stuff out before the session ended. The video for this session will be posted as soon as I have a chance to look through and analyze the footage tomorrow.

The odd thing about this first session that we noted after it was all over, was when Dylan's phone rang, he got up and went outside to answer it, but the first time he picked up it was all static-y and he couldn't hear anything.... so he hung up, and then when Lance (our friend who had called him) tried to call him back, it was busy (even though Dylan wasn't using his phone at the time). Another weird instance was the whole Yakima thing, because the whole time Den was thinking that it might have been her Grandpa trying to talk to her.... and she and her mom are usually very connected when it comes to that stuff, so she called her mom up to ask if she had been thinking about her grandfather at all lately, and her mother had said that he was on her mind all day.... and it had started about an hour or so ago (when we had begun the sitting).

Weird coincidences? I think not. But you decide. After reviewing the video for this first session, I found multiple times in the video where there was a rapid clicking noise, such as the sound of keys being pressed on the keyboard... I don't think the sound could have come from an application on my computer, though, because I had muted the system volume.... the clicking sound remains a mystery for now, until I look into it more. It's probably just random sounds or something but you never know, right?

Ouija Board Protection Ritual.

The ouija board is simply compressed wood and a plastic planchet. However, when used to contact spirits, it becomes a magickal tool. It opens a doorway to the spiritual realms.

In the world of magick, the art of causing change in accordance with the will, magicians use ritual to set up protection, when they scry in a black mirror to receive visions. The ouija is no different. The ouija opens a doorway. This doorway should be both opened and closed during ritual. If you are unwilling to do this, and to protect yourself, you should not play with the ouija. It is not a toy. Provided below are some elements of a protective ritual. I urge you to research magickal rituals to protect yourself.

This is the ritual of the cabalistic cross, without the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram. It provides you with the protection of four archangels, in the four directions. Stand before your altar or table, which should be facing east if possible, where the sun rises. The ouija board and one new white candle, should be upon the altar. Turn out all the electric lights, and light the candle.

Point straight above you towards the ceiling, with your right hand and forefinger extended. Touch your brow between your eyes, with your right forefinger, and say:

You are.

Point towards the ground and say:

this universe.

Touch your left shoulder and say:

the power.

Touch your right shoulder and say:

and the glory.

Place your palms together over your chest, as in prayer and say:

forever, amen.

Now extend your right hand with forefinger extended straight ahead. These should remain extended, throughout this portion of the ritual. Drop your left hand to your side. Draw a small clockwise circle about six inches in diameter, with your right forefinger extended. Say:

In the east Raphael (rah fay el).

Turn right and clockwise 90 degrees facing south. Draw another clockwise circle with your right forefinger. Say

In the south Michael (me chai el).

Turn right and clockwise 90 degree facing west. Say:

In the west Gabriel (gahb ree el).

Turn right and clockwise 90 degrees facing north. Say:

In the north Uriel (oar ree el).

Turn right and clockwise 90 degrees facing east where you began.

Raise both hands and arms above your head with palms open and facing forward. Your hands and arms should form a capital Y.

Around me shine the circles, and above me shines the light of power.

Turn right and clockwise 180 degrees. Your hands should remain above your head. Say:

Turn right and clockwise 180 degrees facing east, where you began. Drop your hands to your sides. You have now cleaned up you ritual space, and can now begin working with the ouija board.

Say something such as:

This ritual is performed for the purpose of obtaining secret knowledge.

Using your right forefinger, draw in the air above the ouija board three clockwise spirals. Imagine the board being filled with white light. Say:

Selene of the starry night, fill this vessel with thy light.

You may now do your ouija board experiments.

When you are finished say:

I give thanks to thee, shining goddess Selene, for helping me to fulfill this ritual.

With your right forefinger extended, draw an equal armed cross directly on the surface of the ouija board, from top to bottom and from left to right. Draw a clockwise circle around the cross. Imagine the cross, enclosed within the circle, glowing in white light. Say:

Selene of the starry night, seal this vessel with thy light.

Note that we use the name of the goddess Selene, as she is the goddess of the moon who governs scrying. This may be modified using another god or goddess name, one who governs scrying.

Again, perform the first part of the cabalistic cross. Point above you, with your right hand and forefinger extended. Touch your brow between your eyes and say:

You are.

Point towards the ground and say:

this universe.

Touch your left shoulder and say:

the power.

Touch your right shoulder and say:

and the glory.

Place your palms together over your chest, as in prayer and say:

forever, amen.

Say:

This ritual for the purpose of scrying has now ended.

I invite all gods, goddesses, and spiritual beings to depart, back to your abodes and habitations, causing neither harm nor danger to humans nor beasts. Go in peace, and fare thee well all.

Extinguish the candle.

Wrap your ouija in a clean cotton or linen cloth, and store it in a secret place, to allow only your vibrations to remain on it. If you use a group of people in working with ouija, you may motify this ritual, to include them.

safe ouija use.

Ok so my friend Sharmaine came to me all distraught with her situation with her boyfriend Rico, and I offered to do a tarot card reading for her (it's amazing how suddenly all these opportunities for me to get practice in keep showing up one after the other). She said yes she needed one, so I went online to Aeclectic Tarot to find a spread that suited her situation and I found one called the Clarifying Love Spread. This is what I used to give the following reading. If you'll notice, I also am not using my usual Witches Tarot deck; instead I am using the traditional Rider-Waite deck. Some of my thoughts on this reading: I found this a little more difficult to do than all my previous readings. Like it was a lot harder for me to be able to interpret the message of the cards and apply it to her situation. Maybe it's because I'm using a new deck? I don't know. Or maybe I just need more practice so I can get to the point where I know what each card means/represents by heart and I don't have to look at the books anymore.... I'll get there.... Someday. So Den, Dylan and I decided to go out and try Salvia Divinorum today.... they wanted to try and see what the trip was like, and I wanted to see how it could help me get into an altered state of mind that I could use in my work. Dylan was the first to go, and Den and I took hits after he did the first one.... Dylan started freaking out and Den and I just started laughing at him because his voice was different, kind of "blobby" idk how else to explain it lol it just was. Then he kept tripping and we kept laughing at him, and then I started to get upset because I wasn't feeling anything from it. So we went and did round two, this time Den started to feel it and she started to freak out and I was still here in full body and mind.... So while I was entertained by her trip I was growing more and more upset at the fact that I still hadn't experienced it. She tripped for a while, and then when she was done, She and Dylan went out and smoked. I went outside to grab the lighter, as I was still upset at not feeling anything from it, and they continued to smoke outside as I sat down and went for round three. This was the one that did it. Shortly after taking a hit, I slumped into the sofa, sitting straight up at first but then my head started feeling heavy so it laid down on its own and my eyes shut and I was immediately in another place. I don't quite know what it was, and I can't really explain it, but I will try my best. I was somewhere that kind of reminded me of my childhood home on Saipan, but I was like sitting on the front porch which was made of cement.... I heard a very loud sound repeating over and over and over again, it sounded like big machinery going on and on, kind of like a printing press I suppose. And then all of a sudden I felt like I was being sucked into the sound, and everything started to fade away into a kaleidoscopic pattern, the kaleidoscopic pattern kept going around and around and it was getting closer and closer to me, until it finally took me into it and absorbed me into the pattern. It kept on going, and I felt like I had to kick up my legs because my body was going sideways to continue fitting in with the pattern, it kept on going around and around and taking me with it. I laughed and called out to Den and I was like "Holy shit get in here!!" but I guess they didn't hear me so they didn't come... the pattern kept on going, the machinery kept on beating the same sound over and over again, and I had been completely absorbed into the kaleidoscopic spinning pattern... eventually I opened my eyes and started to come back.... They had returned to the living room by then, and I asked Den if she heard me call out to her, but she said no the only thing she heard was my constant laughter as they were coming back in... It was at this point that I suddenly had this weird emotional swing, and I got extremely sad that she didn't hear me call out to her... I said, "I called out to you..... but you never came..." and then I just slooped down further into the sofa and let it all sink in for a while... it was a weird feeling.... And then eventually I came back fully and here I am now writing about the whole experience in my blog using Dylan's computer. It was an.... interesting.... experience.

My thoughts on 2012.

SO I was talking to Amanda today and somehow we ended up talking about the end of the world. She was absolutely scared shitless, and I tried to explain to her that's not how it'll work but she was just too scared to even talk about it. Which brought me to wanting to write this blog. So after doing some reading into 21012, I have my own personal thoughts on it and other things that I believe are connected to it. What do I think will happen? The world as we know it will come to an end. The key words there are "as we know it." Most people, upon reading these words, will immediately think that something catastrophic will happen that will destroy our planet and kill us all in the process. This isn't the case, really. What Do I think about what will happen in 2012? I believe that the Christian rapture will occur. But not as they had expected it. I grew up going to Christian schools, so I was brought up to always believe that one day Jesus would come back to earth and take all of the believers away and leave everyone else behind. Obviously a couple of years have passed since my elementary school days. With my age comes a new understanding of the Christian concept known as "The Rapture." When I first heard of 2012 it only took me a minute to make the connection between 2012 and the Christian "Rapture." I believe that in 2012, everything will change. The world as we know will come to an end because those of us who have been on a path to higher consciousness will finally be vibrating at a high enough frequency for us to make the shift into higher consciousness, causing us to "disappear" from human sight as we move our existence into another plane. Those who are not on the path yet shall be stuck in the physical plane, unable to see us, thinking that we have all just disappeared. Here is where I make the connection between this and Christians. The Rapture is our ascension into a higher plane of existence, and those who are "Left Behind" will be those who aren't quite at that level of spirituality yet. This is where they get the whole "believers vs. non-believers" stuff. Keep in mind though I have nothing even near factual to support any of this, this is just my thoughts on the whole 2012 "scare". I read a bunch of other stuff about how everything ties in together but I can't remember any of it right now, sorry about that. For now I guess you will have to settle for this. Feel free to comment and let me know what your take on it all is.

I just remembered outta nowhere that when I was a kid, I was obsessed with making voodoo dolls. I don't know where it came from or why I was doing it, but I used to make them all the time.... I remember cutting up the fabric into shapes of people, sewing two pieces together and leaving an opening for stuffing, and then sewing it shut. Odd.... very odd. This video in a way brings me back to my childhood. When I was a young boy, maybe around the age of 7 or 8, I recall always wondering "What if the lives we live from day to day are really just dreams, and we're in the 'real world' waiting to wake up and see what life in the real world is like?" I would always ask my teachers this every year in elementary school, and all they would ever tell me was that "We should live life to its fullest then, I guess, right?" That answer never satisfied me. And then it was the year 1999 and Hollywood came out with the hit movie The Matrix. I was just a boy of 10 at the time, so naturally I didn't quite have the interest in seeing this movie; In fact my parents would watch it from time to time, but I never sat around when it was playing. I did, however, manage to see The Thirteenth Floor with my family. While I didn't understand everything that was going on at the time, I was amazed when I watched that movie because I thought to myself, "This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking about!" I let it rest for a few years after that (I don't know why), but when I got a little older I decided to sit down and watch The Matrix. Upon viewing the film, I suddenly remembered my childhood and I remembered that I had been thinking of something like this since before the movie ever came out... It got me thinking, well if I'm not the only one who's been thinking this then there has to be some sort of truth to it all, doesn't there? And now in the height of my spiritual growth, I realize that I was most definitely not just a little kid with a big imagination. Somehow, as a little kid, I had that knowledge in me. And I realize now that everything is true. It might not be exactly true in the same way that I was thinking when I was a kid, but it is true. This life that we live from day to day, it's just a dream. And our real selves and our friends and family members who have all woken up into their real lives are waiting for us. Reality as we know it is most definitely not what it seems anymore.... we have all been living a dream, and everything we have grown up learning has trained us to stay asleep in this "dream world"..... but times are changing and more and more people are waking up into this realization.... it's time you woke up too.

Ok so today Chris approached me with a question about his long time friend, and what he should do about his current situation with him. here is his message:

And so, the first thought that came to mind was, "What a great opportunity for me to practice my reading skills!" And so I told him to hold on real quick while I busted out my tarot cards. The deck I am using at the moment is The Witches Tarot; though it isn't the first deck that I've bought (in the past, I have bought The Vampire Tarot and The Ancient Egyptian Oracle), it's definitely the first one that I can actually understand and connect with. I really like the images in the cards; when I can't quite connect with the meanings in the book, I look at the cards again and am able to understand the meaning through the illustration. So anyway, the decks that I bought before, I bought at a time when my mind wasn't quite advanced enough to understand how they worked and I guess I just wasn't mature enough to be able to use them "properly." With this deck, though, I am much older and I now have an understanding of how cards work for us, so that definitely contributes to the success of my reading today. I have posted a picture of the spread and I also posted the chat log below it so you can check out how it went and give me feedback on how I did. This is my first reading ever with tarot cards, and I am quite aware that I have a long way to go until I can get real good at it, so please bear with me if things I said seem kind of verbatim at times. Just give me time, and I will grow. Practice is the best way to improve, right? Oh, and if you're not familiar with The Witches Tarot, you're probably wondering why there are three cards in position 5 on the spread. This deck uses court cards to modify the next card dealt. So if you draw a court card, you draw another card and place it on top of that court card, and they should be read together. The court card will signify the status of the card on top of it. This one (#5) was a little more difficult for me to interpret, and you will probably see that when you rad the chat log. So without further ado, here it is.

so progress for me has been quite slow lately... dunno why, I guess I just got caught up in watching Torchwood and playing WoW.... I need to find a way to get more motivated again so that I don't lose interest in this stuff like I did back in the day. For those of you who know me (which shouldn't be anyone reading this blog, as I haven't told anyone from back home about it), you all know that I was first "awakened" into this world of the occult and metaphysics back in the 7th grade, in the year 2002. I was but a wee little boy of the age of 12 back then, and one day I stumbled upon the movie "The Craft." It intrigued me so greatly that I went and did a ton of online research because I thought it was so cool. Around that time, I had already begun distancing myself from the Catholic religion that I had been brought up in. It just seemed too robotic, too concrete, too boring for me. It got to a point where I would either refuse to go to church, find an excuse not to go, or go to church to make my parents happy, only to fall asleep in the middle of mass or be bored out of my mind.

I found the concept of Wicca and witchcraft very interesting, so I delved further and further into that world, brining a few friends with me. These friends of mine who joined up with me saw The Craft at around the same time and were also interested in it, so we decided that it was better for us to all stick together on it and share information with each other. Soon, we began casting spells, nothing too intricate, just simple rain chants, glamours, etc. We also begun having dreams, very vivid and colorful dreams about random things. This whole escapade with witchcraft lasted us until about the middle of the school year of 8th grade. The others had said that they had grown out of it. After that, I tried to continue on, but it just didn't feel the same, and I eventually lost interest in it. All that was left of those days were the books that i had bought.

Summer came along and I went to the Philippines for summer vacation. While I was there, I discovered something that revived my interest in these things/brought me further along my growth. My cousin's husband, apparently, was also on a path of enlightenment, and he had been reading up and practicing all kinds of stuff with energy and chi manipulation, astral projection and the like. When I found this out, you can bet I was at their house all the time, always asking questions and wanting to learn more. My nephew was right there with me, always learning, and I remember I was always just a little bit jealous of him because he always seemed to be more advanced than I was. So throughout the summer, I tried to absorb as much from my cousin as I could, and he taught us everything that he could in such a short time. When it was time for me to go back home to Saipan, he gave me a couple of books to read if I was really serious about all this stuff.

When I got back, I started reading some of the books that he had given me, but eventually the rush of freshman year of high school life got to me and I once again drifted away from my path. I got so caught up in high school drama and high school business that I ended up pushing this side of me away for a while. It was on and off for me after that, my interest in the occult usually being re-sparked by me occasionally finding old stuff that I used to read or practice. Now, 7 years later, I am more determined than ever to further myself and my spirituality. I am much more mature now, and hopefully much more able to concentrate on these things. This time around of me rediscovering this path, I have already made significant progress. Back in the day, I could never meditate because I just would never be able to clear my mind; I'd always get distracted and let my mind wanter off because I didn't really know how to control my thoughts yet. While I do not know 100% how to control my thoughts, I most definitely can meditate now and I can also bring myself back to center when I find my mind straying away. It's great.

I choose to follow the path of shamanic practice because I believe it's what my ancestors and my family have been practicing for quite some time. For some reason, though, it stopped with my mother and father's generation. As far as I know, my family has had at least one person on each side (my mother's side and my father's side) set on a spiritual/shamanic path. When it came down to my parents' generation, however, it stopped. Before my mother and her sisters decided not to continue the line, her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother had all been popular practicing midwives back in the day. When I was a kid, I would remember that my father's cousin would always be making these little agimats (not too sure what the translation is in english, I think it's amulet?) for us to attach to the waistband of our shorts/pants to protect us from "something." That's all she ever explained, was that it was to protect us from "something." Of course, back then I just accepted it because I had no idea what was going on. Looking back on it now, however, I realize that she was on this path as well. For as long as I can remember, though my dad doesn't practice anything (as far as I know, that is), he has always been reading books about metaphysical topics and stuff like that. For whatever reason, the family's spiritual line skipped a generation and ended up calling out to me. While I don't mind this, I just wish that my parents could have continued with their family traditions... It would have made it a lot easier on me, you know?

My very first reading...

So a friend of mine, Chris, came to me on MSN asking me to find out whether or not he should stay at MHS this year or if he should transfer to a different school. The very first thing that came to my mind was to do an Archangel Oracle reading on him to get the best answsers. I was a little nervous at first, because I had no idea if I could give him an accurate reading or if I would be able to intepret the symbols and tell him my findings. But I decided to go through with it anyway, so I took a few deep breaths to relax myself, and holding on to a piece of Celestite I asked the Archangels to aid me in my reading and to provide me with accurate information for the good of everyone involved, then I proceeded to ask Chris' question. I pulled Passion, from Archangel Haniel as the left card. I pulled Chakra Clearing, from Archangel Metatron as the middle card. Finally, I pulled Leadership, from Archangel Gabriel as the right card. From there, i was able to understand and interpret the message that they wanted him to hear. I told him everything that I got out of the cards, and he told me that I was dead on. It surprised me a bit, but I was extremely happy that I was able to successfully give someone a reading, and that the information I interpreted from the cards was very true. I saw this as kind of a big step forward in my psychic development and learning to trust my intuition.
